This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
Here is the start of my first car. It is going to be a Nissan 350z. I am going to be changeing the side panel becuase it looks odd. please comments, help, ect. wanted.
I'd suggest roughing in the whole thing, refining and then splitting off panels. It's much easier to get your seams right between panels and you keep some continuity from panel to panel.
Just to throw the cat amongst the pigeon's I find it much easier to model it part by part as per the tutorial on cgreality.com, still maintaining poly flow and creating nice seams.
P.S I've tried the other methods too but found this to be the best for me.
