3 bump maps in a layered texture - not working

Hi,

in the layered texture, from left to right, I have an eyebrow bump file, a face bump file, and a body bump file. The brow bump has an alpha and is set to over (and is assigned to its own uv map). The face bump is set to over, and also has its own uv map. Last is the body bump.]

When I just have the body and brow maps, it works perfectly. When I try and add the face bump in between though, it breaks down, and only the face bump renders, the rest is smooth.

I thought that, given it has it's own uv map and only covers the face, it would show here, and the body bump would show elsewhere.

Can anyone help?

don't have too much experience with layered textures, but i'm wondering, do you have alpha is luminance checked?
