This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

looks cool post a wire.

Animate your blend shapes, works well for toony / loose characters.

a cool way to animate toon faces, is to shove some clusters and wire deformers on so you get control of the face.

Then animate a smile over like 10 frames (getting nice arcs in squash/ stretch in), then snapshot each frame of the animation as a seperate mode and then make an attribute which will blend between them.

So instead of having standard linier blend shape, you get sexy animated blend shape.

Hi,

been a while since last post, have been busy boy.

Here is an update (as the moment took me.. just fiddling)
what do you think?

The sideburn type things sort of give him a 19th century feel.
Anyway, just plodding along
Critz very welcome
Thanks
Jim

looks to me as if someone's just pulling on his cheeks. doesn't make me think of facial hair at all.

but i do like the original model and the progress you'd been making before the cheek-pulling.
