This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

hey dave, yeah it has blendshapes too, so the rig works with mocap, so its all under the hood. Weve written our own capture software and built the camera set up too. No off the shelf stuff

hi all

I hope everyone is well, sorry for not being around, buts its good to see some old names lurking in here still, and nice to see some good work too!!!

thought I'd update the page a little with some work currently in progress....

We are due to start shooting a promo at the end of January so its been full steam ahead with mocap software development and character rigging updates....

Anyways a new mixture of new things (IN PROGRESS) to liven this thread a little....mainly dealing with ears at the moment user added image

We've just last week finalised our own facial capture software and hardware. We are looking at the promo toward the end of March. But it wont be like your usual promo thats out there for film or games. We are doing something totally off the wall

Okay so....

An update.

2016 was a pretty awful year by the end of it. The project itself came to a screeching end as far as the VR side of things went. The guy who was helping me out went off on a tangent and basically spent the money we had gotten for sponsorship to develop the rest of the project on his own project, and basically used Outlaws as a way of getting models to use with mocap and VR, so I was very disappointed. it seems everone wants a piece of this for their own ends and well we wont be doing that again.

So currently working on some new stuff on the project, and will update asap on here
