KB I need your help bud..

Can you remembered how you set the height of your model from the floor in the Quake 3 engine?
I have played with the position of the tags and the parts of the model, but It always stays in the same position..
I have not started any animation on the model yet, (hence the T pose) I just exported it a few times to get the tag positions right..

The floor is where the shadow is on the pic, you can see how high the player is hovering... I even added a tag_floor as some sites say you need this (even though other sites say you dont)

How did you set the height of the Bug model you did for Quake 3?

I remember having the same problem. Never really figured it out how to set the height properly. I just kept trying until I got it right...

1.5 hour?!?! whaat? user added image Shouldn't take that long...

One thing that did slow down the plugin quite a bit was the fact that it was logging debug info into a file. These files were huge!

What I did I hacked the source code of the plugin so that it didn't write the log file at all... Saved disk space and made it quicker. If you're on maya 5 i can send you my compilation...

(they might have changed this behaviour in newer versions of the plugin though...)

Im running the Maya 4.5 plugin... I have the last 3 versions of maya, so I will uninstall 4.5 and load version 5 if you can send me the plugin bud..
They stopped supporting the plugin after version 5

That's more like it user added image Btw, it's a plugin, not a script user added image (I know I know... I'm a jobsworth :p)

I have decided to resurect this model and finish it once and for all..
I have remade the body completely as the old mesh was not good and deformed too much when I added the skeleton and bound the skin... Im now starting the animations..
