Hi guys,
Like I told you yesterday I will model a Cyborg …
Ok here’s the first shot of the head (in shading mode with wireframe).

Of, the wireframe was too dense, so here I post the head in simple shading mode user added image

What do you think? – I’m expecting c&c’s user added image

Hm… for eyes, undseth, I aproximated the center of the eye, split radial the polys a few time and then again with split poly make circular splits aroud the center of the eye (anyway almost circular…).
Then in edit mode (vertex or edge), I puled and pushed a few of them to get the desired shape user added image
For me the mouth was a bit hard (I’m not satisfied with this one).
Can any one tell me a better way to do it?
I make it (the mouth) like the eyes (same procedure).
Thanks.

Hi fellows,

Like I said yesterday, because I don’t like the mouth, here I made some improvements.
I have some problems with ears… I make them but he looks really awful with those… user added image
I will remodel them (the ears).

Question:

I want to make a metallic plague on the head but there is two ways.
1. To extrude the existing poly facets like the image shows.
2. Make a different poly object.

The question is witch method do you recommend me and why?
Personally I go for method 1 because it’s simpler, but there will be no problems when I will texture it?

Thanks.

I'd first duplicate the faces in question (edit polygons > Duplicate Face), delete their history, and then extrude them... then they'd be a seperate object, yet retain their shape with the head. user added image

Because the other layers were freezed, you don’t see the rest of the scene.
Here I post a new shot with all the layers visible user added image
I think that now is ready for texturing…so, again I have to confront myself with this problem…
This, I recognize is my week part…but I try to improve it :p
Aaaa… by the way, haw can I make metallic shaders, I’m asking because I tried to make some of them by fixing the blinn material specular shading properties and the results are not satisfying.
So some advices are very welcomed.
