May - Norm - CB8RWH

This sounds like a larf,

gonna do a variation on the pirate and parrot companion theme.

either a mutated pirate who has two heads - 1 human and 1 parrot or a pirate who is in fact a parrot

well since I am waiting for a friend to draw me a pirate with two heads, I have started to create an environment. Early stages yet - just the start of a ships wheel.

Looking good. user added image

Don't forget, though, the character itself is the main judging point.

started the character - this is part of a parrot's foot, which is one of the pirate's hands.

comments, criticisms?

Shouldn't the claw be centered in the finger?

I am in 10th grade, sophomore in high school, but if you don't take me serious, I'll make you.

I have a couple of ref images of parrots. this is the best one and it def looks like the claw comes out near the top - not sure if it is like this on all parrots.

here is more of the foot/hand - I really don't have much idea how a parrot's foot looks apart from the ref images I have, I don't know what goes on in the middle sole/palm area.

comments/crits welcome

here is more or less the finished pirate's hand. It has a very basic skeleton rigged to it, just to get the claws bending.

Please comment/criticise.
