modelling wel lit organic letter 's' in maya

am trying lo learn maya, but as of now am trying to model a well lit up organic letter 'S' in maya.

any help out there?

wel i know about that, but am more interested in the creation of style of the supersport 's'.

'supersport S' ??

er, post a picture so we can see what you are trying to do. If you want to physically model your own 'S', I would use cv curves to draw the outline and then loft.

wel i called it the supersport 'S" as it's part of the supersport logo. would like to know how they they didi that S.

you could easily draw that with paint effects and then convert it to polygon if you want geometry.
