SubD unrefine?

I know you can select a SubD face an refine it but is there a way to do the opposite? I mean can I unrefine or something if I have an area which is too dense?

In polygon mode yes. But i meant in the standard mode. Some areas just get's very tessellated. It would be very handy to do it there. Oh well...maybe I just need to work it out in the polymode then...

Have you tried right-clicking and choosing a lower level, say you are on 1, right-click and choose 0. Once you refine I think it stays refined, but you can view it at a lower level user added image

Yes I can view it in coarser level but the problem is that I get some unwanted bumbs and stuff due to the too dense subdivision...

/me goes back to poly editing user added image
