Amazing work on that one Arran, I just found out about it...
you should probably print some of these pics, frame them and sell them out user added image . Here(Israel) you'll be able to make quite a profit...
Is it common, BTW, to sell computer graphics as art?

Good work on the TV. I'll wait to see where it goes from here (probably going to get really ****ed up soon :attn: - but in a good way user added image )

hey - thanks a lot benny.

i don't know - i'm not so bothered about selling cg prints. i felt the same about paintings too - it never really interested me. i'm sure plenty of people do though.

yeah - i'm planning to **** it up quite a bit - not sure how just yet tho - i wish it was as easy as ****ing up a real tv. user added image

turn it into breakable objects and make a hammer to smash it!

another update. have been working on the casing and just finishing up the basic modeling. think I'm ready to start taking this apart and texturing.

i'm wondering what's the best way to smash up the screen - should i just cut it up with the split polygon tool? i'm remembering the cool dynamics challenge and wondering if there's a better way... user added image

what did you do, buy an old tv then take it apart? =P

it looks great, can't wait to see a sledgehammer go through it or something...

as for the breakup, take a look at this tutorial - looks a little time consuming but as with all the tutorials on the site i'm sure the effect is amazing.

Great model arran! user added image

I guess for the screen you can cut it out with the cut polygon tool and make soms additional cracks in the texture.

Good luck!

An idea for destroying it:
Have some classic cracks through the glass intersecting in one point, perhaps with something sticking out of/in it. have a few adjacent chunks fall of completely and the (fried) circuits we'll show through.

Haven't figured out what to do with the frame yet...
Hope it helps,
Benny
