Painting fur?

Hello everyone!
I've haven't posted anything for awhile now...(studying...!!!)
anyway i have a question! user added image

I want to make a teddy-bear,which has parts of his body (fur) black! like cats do sometimes..
Any idea??
How do i paint the fur??

Look at this picture...that's what i want to achieve.

U can have the surface attatched two furs(one is white and another is black). Then use paint fur attribute tool to ajust their Baldness maps to make the effect.

cant u just specify the color of he fur just by using a map to tell maya that it wants this color for the fur?
