Mmm..I just checked out some of the pics of other telescopes, and you are right, some of them really have a fatter middle. Matches the one Im modeling now, but thanks for the heads up!

BTW, do you know what my avatar is?
(I know, random question, but I was just wondering if you acctually know 'it')

Is there any way to attach more than 1 image per post?
Anyway, here is the polycount-problem:

113,741 ????? !!!!! OMG user added image user added image
is it faces? That's unbelievably high...
How much do you have without the screws?
And I thought I have a high poly count... Mine's ~7,600 faces
Definitely post a wireframe
Benny

EDIT: 1 minute late... You can use an image hosting site such as imageshack.us

i think you can post more than one pic at a time if you have a website or an image depositing site like what BennyK has with image shack
then you can just use the IMG button when you make a post

anyway, that screw's wire looks uber dense...

looks more dense than it needs to be i think (again i'm no expert on poly counts)

and yeah, is that poly count counting from the triangles or faces?

Try using a cylinder with a bump map instead of your screw.
the details are to small to be visible anyway.
based on the wireframe this should send you ~20,000 faces back per screw
Hope it helps,
Benny
