Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Chirone - Horror Challenge

ummm... not sure what the direct influences for this is, but i'd say something about a mechanical spider...

this is an eyeball with legs (6 not 8, it was kind of too crowded with 8)

going the way of mayaniac but clearly not as practiced
started it in zbrush building an armature

ummmm.... is there a reason why the image tags aren't working?

ok... maybe it's just facebook... let's try this photobucket thing
https://i948.photobucket.com/albums/a...g?t=1282637015

doing the sketch
https://i948.photobucket.com/albums/a...g?t=1282636767
not sure if this is right... i've not seen much of these types of pictures before

and a unified skin preview
https://i948.photobucket.com/albums/a...g?t=1282636941
might try the shadow box thing to do the next part of the legs

dango, yeah looking forward for more from me too

daverave, if i can pull off what i'm going to try do it should be disturbing

bullet, maybe a big smile while it enjoys butchering people, like the little 10 year old from kickass user added image

ben, both. the first screen shot is zspheres2, the there was the sketching thing.

i might remake the armature.

do you find them much different/better than the original zspheres? id love to upgrade my zbrush. it looks cool how youve fleshed out the bulk with them as opposed to just the old stickman zspheres.

i never got the chance to use the original zsphere, but i heard those weren't totally awesome

you should upgrade

it's free
and if you dont then i think you'd end up having to pay for the program that's a few versions older than yours if you upgrade to a much later version
in any case when you upgrade to a newer version the new zb just installs to a new folder so you can keep the older version

Cool to see you're in.

Cool idea. As it's going to be mechanical, are you going to model the legs in Maya?

update:
https://i948.photobucket.com/albums/a...yeder00160.jpg
i restarted, made the eyeball a subtool of the legs which were done with zspheres and without the zsketch (didn't know i could convert zspheres straight into a mesh)

then i used the all mighty awesome shadow box to make the scythe-like feet things and added them as subtools

i used GoZ to position them more correctly than i could in zb

ok Dango, got off the psp and ps3 long enough to get a few hours in.

yeah, i hope i will be able to pull something off in the 2 weeks speedy!

so... some progress... i started making the legs flesh with big-ish muscles then i remembered i didn't originally think of doing that
so here we have a speyeder without the eyeball and without half the scythes
https://i948.photobucket.com/albums/a...peyeder002.jpg

underneath it...
https://i948.photobucket.com/albums/a...peyeder003.jpg

close up of the joint between the legs and the scythes
https://i948.photobucket.com/albums/a...peyeder004.jpg
i think i'll stick with 2, because 1 doesn't make sense to me.

also the topology is really screwed up and i dont remember how to remake the topology...

so yeah... need to make a giant floating brain that it's connected to and a decapitated head...
