How to work with Hypershade

Does anybody know a good tutorial on how to texture your scene/model.

When I look at the hypershade windows it looks complicated. I worked with max before and that was easy (when you know it it is always easy). I have the compleet manual but I am to lazy to read it, I want to do something straight away so if you accidently bump in to tutorial on how to use the hypershade please let me know user added image
