BabyDuck twistedXmas

ok here is my idea.

i will make a duckie. (how obvious user added image ) but it will be not a normal duckie, but a present you are proud to buy your kid for xmas if the duckie would not be so bad. so you buy a mean duckie and included in the box is a bloody (real) knife that belongs to the duckie. here is the rough sketch of the box:

Just put a santas hat on him or some clip on antlers. and maybe a fake red nose.

the knife did not want to work, so here is the start of the duckie.

from left to right (if you did not guess yet): low poly, smooth poly, smooth poly with fur

it is not fur_description1 it is renamed to Fur_Duckie. but the beak will have to be painted bald. i will not do that now, as i still work on the low poly model. user added image

ok, just to make something clear. i am of course not ready with modeling. and tahnks for the suggestions, appreciate them. i will make the beak differant and the duckie will get wings and feet and eyes (not furry).

and yes undseth, that is fur. started with a new fur (not a preset of course, i wanted to understand what i do) and goofed a bit around with the sliders til i undestood what they do - i suggest this to everybody: dont read a manual, do with trial and error. and i do know now that it is not necessary to model real good if you put fur over it - good i played with fur before spending too much time to model the duckie below the fur user added image

i did not even start thinking on how to texture the places where no fur is. and to be honest i was a bit shocked that fur looks that good - if you ever tried out a ready fur from maya you know what i am talking about as it never looks good unless you tweak it.user added image

and then i thank again everybody for all the good advices user added image
