some quick q's on blendshapes

hey guys

some qs im stuck on

1) do u make blendshapes after u have textured or is it a preference thing?
2) will the blendshape stretch an deform ur texture?
3)is it ok to make the blendshape then smooth ur model - i know it works but is it a bad habbit u dont want?

Now at SMU doing BSc 3D Computer Animation so its hard to get on here

1) you can do them afterwards. I´d texture my char before enveloping anyways.

2) blendshape will distort texture. but when animating the char after binding the skin to skeleton a distortion in certain areas will always happen. with or without blendshapes.

3) that depents on how you smooth it. I guess you don´t mean tessellating cause that will not work. never smoothed any character with explicit operation.

everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.
