I really want to join in on this but I have to figure out my graphics card and power supply problem first. Hopefully I can get everything situated in a week or two so I can hop back into maya and jump into this competition.

Hey acid44,
According to the rules you can. If I have a need for Vue, I plan on using it. Heck, Paint FX is just as much a cheat.

4) There's no limit as to what software you can use to create your models and textures.

does it have to be a single frame render or can it be an animatioin of a fly-by or something to show it better?

You can do those if you want, but the entry itself is a single frame render.

I really want to join in but I still have 3 or 4 weeks of other stuff I'm doing. If I finish and nothing else comes up, I'll join in. Better late than never.
