Mental Crash

Hi all...

When trying to render a certain scene, Mental Ray loves to crash on me (abnormal program termination: maya, exe) with following message:

Runtime Error!

R6025

-pure virtual fuction call

Any idea what this means?

depends on the computer configuration sometimes but, 'the pure vitual runtime error' is caused by symantec programs. norton AV mostly, it thinks that maya's license server is virus like i think. not exactly sure why but that was Symantec's finding. do a web search for the problem. you'll should see norton poping up in the topic.

Hm. This was actually the first time that this happens, and I'm a long-time NAV user.
