The rumors that I've heard around the web about this are below.

NOTE: THESE ARE JUST RUMORS! Not confirmed facts!

They are just things I've read on other 3D sites w/Maya-related content.

1. Alias will be getting thier tuts back up, with a LOT more tuts added on a REGULAR basis by a new tutorial team.

2. Alias is in the process of completing the design/code for a full-on tutorial/forum site to compete with all of ours!
(Kinda like Gnomon, but with straight information from the horses mouth)

3. Alias will not have tutorials anymore, because they believe the community has done a good job doing that already.

4. OTHER than the PLE users "public area" tuts, the good tuts will now be iether subscription-based, and/or permission-based on a valid liscense. So for the good tuts, if you don't own Maya, you will not be able to see them. (stupidest rumor IMHO)

Again, these are just RUMORS that I have gasthered from around the web, and are NOT to be taken seriously at all.
ALSO, this post is not representative in ANY way of the views of SM and the moderators.

Read it with a grain of salt.
Toungue-in-cheek.
Wink-wink.

yada, yada....
