Didn't I already suggest those a couple posts earlier? user added image

Tha Mastering Maya series is okay—I picked the one for Maya 5 up for $7 from a street vendor here in NYC way back when. The problem is that they try to explain a little of everything but never get into the meat and potatoes of a given thing. It's nice that they take user through an entire short via the project, though. It's a decent reference book.

The new autodesk series look like more fun to work through.

hm yeah. You're right. The new series look a bit more fun... I will buy either https://www.amazon.com/Learning-Autod.../dp/1897177380
or https://www.amazon.com/Learning-Autod...d_bxgy_b_img_b

Can't decide yet. I think the first one is more advanced?! The second one looks nice, but it is about animating birds??? sorry I'm not very interested in birds user added image I'd like to model and animate human characters but can't make a decision between those two books user added image

Thank you by the way for your (very helpful) answers!!!
