help

Hi. I'm not excatly new to Maya but it's 5 years since last time so i don't know a single thing.
What i have problems with right now is that i want to put a texture on a polygon plane by using file attributes. The problem is that the picture istransparent around it but it fills the space with white in Maya. wondering why.
So can you please help a confused man? (by the way, it's a GIF pic)
