Looking good, very good. I hope it will be a high detail model. Are you planning to texture it ?

You've got the basic shape done really well m8. If you bevel the edges it will really help the appearance of the model. Keep up the good work.

THX1138: yes this is going to be my first high(ish) detail model. i am going to try to texture it, but i have never made a texture and im not too great at texturing stuff, but im going to try to learn with this project.

lonepig: yeah i was planning on adding a lot more detail to the top, i actually have a luger cap gun that im modeling from that has a lot more detail than i picture i have.

anyway thanks for lookin at my work, more updates to follow today.

1) added the handle underneath the grip
2) added a little detail on the top body
3) added a magazine (will show better pictures of it in further updates)
4) beveled the back of the handle, extruded the front, for a more smoothed out look.
5) rudimentary texturing just so you can see where the new shapes are
7) more updates to come tonight or tomorrow!

Nice work...
What I can see is that the barrel is a bit too much in the middle of the front of the pistol and the whole middle part is a bit too big in the height....if you want to do a high detail model try to keep as realistic as you can user added image. Add more detail too, but it's a wip status at the moment so you can do a lot before finishing the luger....
I give you a link with a good reference user added image
