Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Sorry I cant show the wire right now

Comments, suggestions will be appreciated

...damn one has so much to learn... it seems almost impossible to acquire it all

*note

The text on the blade means Simurai but its written in cyrilic
As friends call me Simu I transformed it in Simurai since I am very fond on them and their swords user added image)

Excellent workmanship.

What happened to that jaw-drop they had in the smilies? I opened this thread expecting to see another noob who has picked a sword because they thought it was easy, so you can imagine my reaction when i saw this beautiful piece of workmanship. I love it. user added image

Although i don't think any of the above renders should go in the gallery, but i do think the sword should, it just needs a better camera angle in my opinion. I have a feeling they were choosen so we couldn't see the tip. user added image

The hilt itself made of rayfish skin is called "tsuka"
Then the wrapping would be called "tsukamaki" not kissassi user added image

Its true I've hidden the tip but I will work on it

Thanks again for the nice words. I put these at another Bulgarian forum and no one ever said a thing...

Incredible!

I am only new to this forum and new to Maya. First thing I checked out was your sword. As a martial artist and practicing swordplay with a katana that is possibly one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen!
