Attack Ship

Been working like crazy in the real world, so much so that it has started to impact on my maya life!

I have been thinking for a while of having a go at an original futeristic vehicle. I have done the apache, and the black hawk, so this is meant to be a futeristic blend of both roles.

Early days yet, but this is my basic concept.

i like it all around in general, looks good clean functional..my only critique on this one at this point would actually be just a personal preference thing.
it would seem to me that with the angular surfaces involved in the fuselage of this craft, that the canopy would be more angular then rounded.. but again that's a personal opinion thing. The work its self, looks great

Nice design.

Im actually building something very similar at work right now too. The detail is insane and enough to make you go blind LOL

turn down the lighting here so we can see it properly, its all very blown out right now

cheers
Jay

maybe plug your colour texture into the value of a gamma node then set the gamma as 0.454 0.454 0.454 and plug that into your diffuse.

It reminds me a lot of the GDI air units in Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun.

Keep up the good work!

I like it a lot. Only critique is the render is to bright.

This is really nicely done. I like the design because to looks functional and rather mean and can take a bit of abuse combat wise.

Cheers guys, ive just discovered physical sun thanks to leonlabyk
and i dont know the ins and outs of it yet.

The renders are WIP but i thought they looked more interesting than lambert1.

i will deffinately work on that, i still think the body is a little fat at the mo so am still tweaking.

I think the body is fine mate...maybe extend the main wing just a tad to even it out a bit...makes my concepts look dull!!!

keep it up man...now that you have a respit from the real world..good to see you back in action mate.

Hi Bullet, just picked an interesting texture and slapped it on using auto uv layout, just so the renders are more interesting when i am modelling
