Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Hi ctbram
I have downloaded it but not yet set it up, Im trying to to do this so any one can do it not sure if its any good?. If I could sit down for a few hours may be tomorrow will do a full make over on your newest one, the stuff I am doing does not need any good painting skills just get a slobge of paint in the right area, then putting filters on it............dave

Thanks Dave I thought it came out nice. You don't want to know how long I spent researching the correct font for that.

Any painting tips you can share would be great daverave. I can find tons of modeling tuts but there is god aweful little on painting techniques to produce nice results.

I model, lay out the uv's, test them with a texture pattern, then open photoshop all excited and sit there starring at my monitor for hours not having a clue how to start.

I would welcome any texture painting tutorials and praise anyone that made them.

You can find lots of modeling tutorials accompanied with poorly, if at all, lit grey scale and occlusion renders.

Only occasionally will you see well lit and textured renders by talented people, but like the Ring Lord, they do not share!
