Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Thanks Ice Queen user added image

You're right Pony, I'm trying to work up those mid tones right now, slowly getting away from the healthier tones. The green cast on the last pic was a lighting effect to get an idea of how to work over those undertones. Have started painting seperate layers of colour now.

goes to show that talent just doesn't lay within the borders of ILM. It would be a crime if no one ever hires you.

Man, i give you such props on that ear. Wow, I find ears to be so hard to make, because of all the different angles and such, you did a real nice job. I also like how the skin is coming along.. but it seems that the skins cracked look does not apply to the ear, have you mapped it yet? I also like the little detail you have added to the back of his head, great job

Thank you so much for all the replies, I love my work and put everything I have into it, so it's heart warming to know that you are enjoying seeing it's progress. Cheers!

M, you do have good point about the ears. They are mapped, but due to their size the texture space was reduced in comparison to the rest of the head. After further study, I know now how to combat that, but as I done so much texture work now, I think it's too late to go back and do that amount of repairing. Lesson learned there! and I'll be applying that to my next project.

Thanks everyone!

Chris
