Poly--How do you fill in a gap after deleting faces???

How do you fill in the gap after you delete two faces, kind of like filling in a surface between 2 edges. here's a pic cuz i can't explain it very well.

Use the append to polygon tool, select the edges bordering where you want the new face. I red shaded preview will help you see where the new face will be. When satisified, hit enter or press the middle mouse button. Looks like you have a couple open edges, so you press "y" when done with one face to complete it and proceed to the next.
