Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Hi Media,

looking real cool... looking forward to see the animation... user added image

btw. have you e.g. thought about giving the ground/sand some bump og displacement maps to give it some more effect... I think it would give it some nice contours or what the thing is named in english I can't remember...

regards

i just got these clips de-briefed
check these 3 shots out, these are our first
tests of the cell shading look for the film.
each one is done a little differently from rendering
to compositing to try and optimize the process.
give us some feedback while were still in the test
phaze so we can work your feedback in.
thanks all

wow great stuff. i have a suggestion to make the walking cam better. right now it is just wobbling from left to right - but if you walk you also go up and down - looks not realistic if it only goes left right. and keep the eyes fixed on one point - only move the position of the cam. hope that was understandable user added image

keep up the great work

btw, some insides on creating the toon look and blurry painting would be very cool.

your right about the 'y' tangent on the camera
there is movement on 'y' , but once i go back to it
it could be much more exagerated
thanks allot for the input
much thanks

that's really cool. Reminds me of Zelda: Wind Waker style.

Very nice job!

thanks for the feedback all
(yeah zelda was a big research for this project,
god that game looks good right)

- right now there is only one 3d artist and one compositor
- we are working on it only on our spare time between
our broadcast and commercial work
- we have big plans for it, it will just take time
- if any one wants to contribute, we would love the help
