Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

sketchbooks?

Hey guys,
just thinking about polycounts forum, and their sketchbook section, where you can make a thread and post up sketches, models, and whatever else you do from day to day, and I think that we should have a section like that when the awesome new site is released! Its alot less formal than WIP or finished work. And a sketchbook wouldn't fit in either of those.

sort of, but its not quite the same. You don't post day-to-day stuff in a portfolio, but you could in a sketchbook. If you want to see what I mean, just head over to the polycount forums (https://boards.polycount.net/) and click on the digital sketchbooks section.
there is some interesting stuff in there, and a section like that would be GREAT for this site
