Modelling Topology

Hey all wanted to start a thread on modelling topology for rigging and animation so ill start of with quite a controversial website let me know what you think

now i use to modell the "wrong" way and where my model would collapse i would simply use blend shapes so what are your thoghts user added image

But maybe this will be a good discussion. I'm no expert on topology, but I assume it can be a good idea to draw out your main edge flow on a ref image prior to starting.
