I just got a new processor, new mother board. It works like a dream!! user added image My computer is aprox 5x faster than it was before.

Hate to break it to you Kurt but if you installed a new processor in any windows version, then there is only one good way to know you will be stable.......reinstall, reinstall, reinstall.
the good news is that you should not have to reformat or anything, just run setup and you should be fine. If you are running NT or XP then you need to make sure and be carefull not to pick the install choices that may format. but you get lots of warning about that.
Sometimes you can get by just running the system file checker:
sfc /scannow
but reinstall is the key to knowing that windows can deal with a new processor.
