Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Okay mike, heres the .mb . I'm told by a few people that they simply planar map the whole thing, of any model. I'm afraid of getting in this habit though, becuase i imagine for complex models, using all of the utilities would be much more efficient. Any thoughts?

<----edit, planar mapped everything. Update in VFX WIP thread----------->

ello,

I had a look at it and there was 3 cynd projections on those faces - don't know whether this affected it, but I deleted them all and created a new one -seems to have worked a bit better

cheers
