This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

moving vertices or pushing and pulling faces?

I am using CPS (connect poly shape script you can find at www.highend3d.com)

that will be moving vertices, I guess user added image .. cant really see the difference, since I probarbly also push a few faces user added image

Looking good. I always admire a clean mesh like that as mine always look rather odd. Good stuff, I always find something to learn from in your work-thanks.

Witchy : Thanks alot !!! Its great to hear such critique and I am very happy that I can inspire and help you !

Anyway here is another update. The ear is an old ear that I modeled from images of my own ear and attached it to the model.

I also added/extruded the beginning to the neck part.

so clean!!! looking forward to see more and some great teeth as you always produce user added image

what method do you use to model them lugs (ears)?

I need a few methods to try to arrive at thebest for myself (selfish aren't I user added image )

I did a little clean-up on the mesh. That is removing redundant faces, making lots of faces into quads where triangulated faces was not needed and so on..

the eyelids...you did you make them?
I tried to make some for my head shape but I didnt get anything good. user added image
