Sorry man , which I could be of use, I am also trying to find some stuff on maya live, but as it is not used in the industry anywhere near as much as a program such as boujou for matchmoving and camera tracking there is little help on this.

Keep going over the (not so useful) help files is my only advice, you will get the hang of it eventually, I know I did lol.

It's a utility that allow's you to match a maya camera to the camera that shot the footage so you can add cg to a shot. I know how to use it in a basic fashion.

Ive not really seen any tutorials on the net for it, theres one in the book, Maya secrets of the pros second edition.

You basically load up an image sequewnce and then create tracking nodes that you locate to areas in the image sequence that either stay in the shot all the time or most of it and are of high contrast, then hit solve to solve the shot.

It isnt as simple as that but thats the basic outline of it, it can also calculate distance etc etc

the tuts are not that bad in the maya help for the live. just go through them. you will do everything you need to know.

after that some general techniques in matchmoving should be learn. either the gnomon dvds by tom dobbert - actually they are pretty good.
or buy the book by - who would have thought - tim dobbert. my flat mate said its worth a read.

good luck
