My new laptop and ...

Here is my new machine.

Acer Aspire 5741G
Intel Core i5 - 430M With Hyper Threating and Turboboost.
Nvidia GeForce GT320M with 1GB VRAM, and CUDA technology.
4GB DDR3
500 HDD + 320 ( my seagate 2,5'')

It's working like a charm... for now. You remember my old crappy 14'' Monitor + 3Ghz Single core + Nvidia 128 VRAM + 1GB RAM.
This is spaceship and i'm so happy.

I also have another tool in my pocket it's called

FurryBall, Real Time GPU rendering. IT'S AWESOME! How fast can you make your scene for a final render with mental ray..

I've heard of FurryBall before, I'm guessing you're happy with it? :p

Laptop sounds wicked, how much did it cost?

It was 940$ here in Bulgaria. Yeah furryball is awesome BUT i can't get the Mental Ray materials to work with it... so it's not that good if it doesn't support mental ray mat.

It dosen't support MR materials.

Personally with GPU rendering I would wait untill iray is incorporated into Maya.

GPU renderers need to mature a little.
