This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Yep, it's been out for a week or two now, so has Mudbox 2010, and Motionbuilder 2010.
The one out of the Autodesk collection that hasn't come out yet and is due out soon is Softimage 2010.

you have soft select on (meaning you pull a vert and a soft selection of the surrounding verts will move with it) - Im not sure how you turn it off and on so just check the maya help file.

2010 is so far so good. Alot more stable than 2009 and uses less memory (x86 bit verson Im using).

Press b to turn soft select on or of press and hold b to adjust the radius of effect

Softimage 2010 has facerobot in it (yes no more separate system)

I absolutely hate the licensing though can't say that enough actually give us back our txt files Autodesk:angery:

We have it at work, however we can't use it yet as we haven't been given our licenses yet. Do you know if it will be using our old flexlm licenses, or will it be completely separate? For example, if we have 10 flex seats, will the 2010 license use those 10? Kind of like the old system?

It will be like the 3ds max licenses
when you have a standalone license you will have to use the (dumb ass) request-activation -code setup, If it's floating then you will have to give them the hardware id of your licenseserver this will work like it always did, I don't know how and if it works with a dongle however probably a floating license though

big difference from 09 to 10? I just bought a book on Mastering 09, should I just wait and get a book on 2010?

No, they're pretty much the same. Some new features have been bundled in. Maya 2010 still operates the same as 2009
