This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Darkware inspired me....feedback pls

he made me get off my ass and actually get something going...congrats to him!!

anyways like he I have been thinking about lightsaber stuff....by stuff I mean pretty much everything from props, fight scenes, fx etc....

here's something I made...then tweaked in PS user added image

excuse pic size...and excuse the fact that it's here....it's not a WIP and it's not worthy of gallery status...if it goes somewhere else....ah well... I tried...hehe

I know the handle is off colored....but this is only for the blade

looks cool but I would make a bigger (better) handle.. that one looks to plain to me... dont worry about being exact like the movies... change is good user added image

How did you make the blade? I tried a few variations on the blade and couldnt find one especially to my liking. My final looked like this:
