Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Animating Sound

Hi,

I am not too sure if Maya can do this but it doesn't hurt to ask. I am wondering if it is possible to use a music file as a deformer.

So I would be looking to materialise sound within an object such as a cup & saucer, wine glass etc.

Any help would be fantastic,

Cheers

Can it??? I'd love to see that.

As far as I was aware it had no audio manipulation tools, just std playback for lip synch, could be wrong?????

What I mean by 'music as a deformer' is the possibility of using the sound waves of a song as a manipulator. The aesthetic will be very similar to a wave deformer but I would it to change with the beat of music.

Thanks
