While I'd love to see the whole thing textured, if you pick out one and texture it to the max, that'd be cool at least. user added image

The tree was made in Vue (as well as some bushes but I did not like them) which is sort of cheating but there is no software limit to this challenge so not breaking any rules there. I then use the same tree and moderfied it in maya before importing them in. They are nice but you cant get to close to them as they are not that great up close and a little heavy - but come on they are trees.

No no mike I will texture all of it - giving myself a month to do it. Once I figure the shot I want I`ll start with the foreground/main building and get as much as I can done then carry on after the dead line if I don`t finish it all.

My mate came over today and saw it and want to use it in his car racing short film he is making in the summer (for a jump of the top of the car park) - some extra money end of the day.


Any way had a brain wave to fill in some of the background - a train line - so started work on a train

After some time off from this I have come back to this at full swing. With Grimlock training out the way I feel its time to start the texturing as I have the processes fresh in my mind. Got alot of the UV mapping done but cant be bother to post images of that up.

Now I know I still have some modelling to do but hay it can wait for now.

Started on the easy one (Known as office 1) and will move on to the cafe next. Concentrated on the front more than the sides as you`ll not see them due to billboards and buildings.

glad to see you back!

I'd say work on your texture scale a bit. Right now, the metal and marble looking textures seem very "large" and kinda blurry and muddy.

Not saying that this is what you are doing, but I know that I have always had the most luck using photo source if I do some fairly extensive work with the texture and not simply applying it as-is.

Right yer I see what your talking about will get on it.

Been doing the uv mapping for the rest of the buildings - man it takes for ever in places. hummp I hate it

Loving the model! Wish i could go there, looks like a nice place to visit, it's got a kind of Newyork mixed with London feel to it, i look forward to seeing more!
