Good job so far. nice loops. One smalll crit from would be to just pull the verts up at the middle of the nose as the polys are a bit stretched there, and it could give you probs when doing the uv mapping

good job though
cheers

and another angle... Now i got the subsurface scattering going. A bit to much in the neck-area.. Now i must work on some specular maps and bumps.. Also looking for good ways of making eyebrows and lashes..

I like the texture a lot, nice variety to the colouring on the skin, not flat at all. Only thing I can see to crit is, the eyebrow looks like it's raised off of the skin - though from what you say it sounds like it's only a temp eyebrow.

Doing some texturing myself at the moment and finding it a little tricky, could you post shot of your texture, give a brief description of layers and your process etc? Would be great.

cheers,

gubar

Hi thanx for your comment, and yes it's a temporary eyebrow..
My proces from UVW mapping was first paint the main features with 3D paint (lips, cheeks, eyesocket), and then opening the psd in photoshop, and played around with some grunge brushes.. The texture looks pretty ugly, but I mapped it on the diffuse color and the epidermal-color where the contrast became less..
I also cheated a bit, because i added some contrast in photoshop..
And still got a lot of painting to do...

the colormap:

I made some progress, finished the body and started modeling some atributes.. She gotta have big feet and big hands aswell (i will model the gloves next..).. I'm also texturing the skin in the progress.. It's still a bit blotchy, and gotta add some buump,m spec-maps etc...
Stepped back to blinn and regular rendering for speed..

I really like it so far. and everytime I see the title to this thread the song "In The Pine's" by LedBelly gets stuck in my head (also known as "Where did you sleep lastnight" on Nirvana's unplugged)
But anyway, keep up the good work.
