Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Lego animation

This is a project I recently finished. There was some lego going on already on this forum, so sorry to be a copycat, but the idea really appealed to me, and it's not the first time I tried CG lego (the first was about 6 years ago using Anim8or... the result sucked) but I'm a bit happier with this result.

Anyway, link here: https://vimeo.com/13793075
Comments welcome!

i liked it, the shaders looked nice, I like the lighting too.

I didn't like the HDRI visible on the ground surface tho.

Thanks guys. Yeah, hammer, that's fair enough, I wasn't sure about it, but I thought it looked okay. Now after many views, I'm not sure it was the best idea, but I'm still in early stages of learning proper rendering, so good to get constructive criticism.

Thanks 3ddon, it's hard to say exactly, probably on the order of 50 hours, or something around there.
