Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

I need some tutorials

Can anyone tell me where I can find some tutorials that will teach me how to use Maya 4.5?

All of the tutorials in the tut section of Simply Maya will work for both 4.0 and 4.5 I believe. 4.5 has something called fluid effects, however, that 4.0 does not. I have not found any tutorials on the net about this particular thing, though.

What exactly would you like to learn? Modeling, textures, lighting, rendering? If you're completely new to Maya, experiment a little with the program, read some of the threads in the forums, and ask questions about stuff you don't understand. As said before, the tut section is a good place to start after you have mastered the basics such as moving around, scaling, and manipulating objects.

and when you open up 4.5, you should see all the provided video tuts that are included in maya. they are really good and get you started visually. that is a new feature in 4.5 as well user added image

Tutorials

I really appreciate the advice, and I would like to learn everything that can be learned about Maya 4.5. So if you run across any tutorials you can email me the links at csimmons115@comcast.net.

Thanks
