Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

modeling Weird Detail

Well I am stumped on modeling this here part

I usaly have no problem modeling any thing but for some weird resion this oddly shaped wingtip cover has me perplexed I have tried 3 different things and still did not get the shape I want with it

here is my current try as a obj

any tips ?

dont know if this would help though you could try, modeling the left section without the round bit, then once your happy with that try extruding the round bit.

There's some kind of a tool which revolves a face around a selected edge... I never got to use it but it might work...
Does someone know what I'm talking about?
It's a polygon modeling tool you can use on edges. perhaps on border edges.

EDIT:
Found it: Edit mash>Wadge face
You need to have face, or several faces selected together with the edges you want the geometry to be revolved around.

I figured it out tho It was easy once I figured it out I cant believe it stumped me thanks for the tip any ways
