April Challenge - Snich - Noobie

Hi all!

Well, I think I'm in way over my head, but what the....hell! I'll give it a try though its already a week into the month. My concept is based off a creepy creature from the game Dark Age of Camelot. Its basically half a zombie that scoots around on its chest with its hands. They call it a Grindylow. Mine will be more demonic in nature and actually walk on its hands, so I'll call him a Grindyhigh. Sketch to follow soon! Wish me luck, I'll need it! user added image

Thanks for the comments, I only hope I can model as half as good the sketch! I am spending way too much time on the stupid lower jaw and am just leaving it for now. Is there an easy way to get a vert to snap to another vert so I can attach the jaw easier? Anyways, I have the basic head shape done, heres a smoothed version...

Thanks Caligraphics & Vamp, I appreciate it. Another update, added eyes, horns, and a mouth interior. Plus I played with some preliminary textures.

last update for today

Well here's my last for today. Amazing how quick time goes by when I'm working on this. I'm not sure I know how to do his tongue...any suggestions?

no tongue is my vote. I like it but the blue personly I find reall distracting from how scary the image could be. !

New update

Pony: I kind of like the tongue and added it, of course it can come off at any time. I lightened the color to a paler blueish. I'd like to UV map so I can show the skull showing through as in the sketch. But I have no clue how to UV map at this point. Here he is with the body and arms attached. The hands suck and I'll be tweaking them a bit. Any crits?
