Splitting, or Cutting one Nurbs Surface into 2 independent pieces ?

Hello friends !

Well, I want to cut, or split this one Nurbs surface into 2 independent pieces - hmm, but the surfaces should not change the mesh. The red line shows you the border where I want to cut.

trimming tool ?

Hello master mike !

It seems to bee, that the detaching on the surface doesn´t work, because this surface was trimmed before.

damm, and trimmed surfaces can´t be attached - so I think it will bring me the same problem with the detaching.....

that´s why i stopped using trims ... well not exactly that, but they are so difficult to handle, most times you do yourself a favour in modelling it in a proper way instead of trimming ... maybe im talking rubbish, still newb ... user added image

@mike: love your tuturials ... especially the stiching arm one ... opened new doors for me user added image
