Make sure the camera being rendered is the camera which actually is looking at your scene.

REnder Globals -> Common -> Render Object (Render All)
Render Globals -> Common -> Camera (whatever camera is your viewport to your 3d world.. most commonly persp... but it will say at the bottom of your work window.)

Do you have lights in the scene? or check the tick box in the Render Globals menu that enables a default light, without shadows etc
