lego car

I decided to mess around with a program called lDraw which allows you to create all the lego pieces and assemble something out of it. You can than export to DXF or OBJ and bring into Maya. Used MR for rendering.

Hehe, yea, that would really piss me off, knowing that there was a lego program after working so hard on a lego vehicle of my own

Looks real nice! Unfortunatly the only way to really show the seperate pieces, is to slightly seperate everything! Oh well... I am going to do that with my MINI since I put so much time into it, I really want to try and make it look PhotoReal. Keep it up!
Brian

You aren't using MR for the last image right? Isn't it GI_Joe? If it is MR how did you get the Dof to work?
Thanks!

I used MR for it. For the DOF I used the regular Maya stuff. What I did is connected the cameras center of interest to the focus distance. The camera has a aim on it. So, wherever you put that aim it will be focused. You just have to mess with DOF settings afterwards.

Unlike me Brian created everything from scratch. Props to Brian!

Hmm... I can't get DOF to work with MR. I mean when I render with Maya, it works, But when I go to MR it doesn't show up. What version of Maya are you using? I am using 5.0, anyone else have problems with 5.0?
Thanks,
Brian

I'm on Maya 5 also... I get no probs. I don't remember turning on anything special in MR. are you changing the focus distance and stuff?
