Joan of Arc

I started this yesterday from the Joan of Arc tutorial for 3DS Max (originally in french, but can be found in english here ) and I just wanted to show you guys what I've got so far.

It's a really great tutorial (eventhough it's for Max user added image ) that can be used easily for Maya. I was especially surprised how easy it was to create a head with the technique used here.

Here's a shot of the head. It's my first one, and I think I pretty much nailed it... It's not perfect of cource, there's something about the lips and nose I'm not completely satisfied about, but it will have to do for now

I'm not going to worry about the ear 'cause it'll be covered by hair anyway...

Here's an update and I'm off to bed...

About halfway done with the breastplate (almost done with page 3 of 6) and it's been a bitch! LOTS of trouble with adding faces between the titty decoration, and there are still a few areas that needs some tweaking...

Oh yeah, the image user added image

The two parts aren't combined, so there'll be some issues down the middle that, of course, will be taken care of...

C&C anyone?

@Ransick the hands is made simple because it's a glove, but maybe I'll ad a little more detail to it... You really should try it out, it's a great tut (eventhough it's not a SM) user added image

@Septrentrio yeah I know they're a bit high, but I'm not sure if I'll change it... Don't wanna risk messing everything up when they're gonna be covered by hair anyway...

That looks really good! I really like the nose and the lips, but maybe you should work a little on the eyelids...

I wanted to keep it as low poly as possible so it could be used in a game so I haven't smoothed it at all.
