hardcoded ui colors

ever since maya switched to qt and got the dark default theme i ran it with the -style option because i don't like dark themes. well, until i tried 2016 a few days ago.
for some stupid reason the attribute editor's row backgrounds (and some others) now have the dark background color hardcoded. but only the background so if you're using a style that's bright and has dark text you have dark text on dark background, great user added image

my question now is, can that be changed somewhere? maybe some mel file or anything else that the user can change?
