Suggest me a music...

Uh, sorry for annoying you people with such things, but I hope you won't bodder to much.

Well, last few days I am discovering that it can be a great motivation for working in maya to listen certain type of music. So , I tryied to listen a group called "Nightwish" while working with maya, and I must say they are great and I really enjoy working while listening to them.

So, could you perhabs suggest me something similar to them, or any power/gothic/other type of metal groups? Except Iron Maiden and Metallica, which I was listening for too long?

Tnx!

Whenever I work in Maya I always tend to see what I am working with, if it's a project that requires my full attention then I won't listen to music, but other times I listen to music that is "soothing" if thats the right word..hehe..anyways, gregorian chant is really cool to get the creative juices flowing....oh and baldurs gate soundtrack aswell.. user added image Awesome stuff...hehe user added image

If your looking for power metal type music, try Sevendust. Just about all of their music is really heavy. Slipknot, Cradle Of Filth, Mudvayne, are all heavy/power metal. user added image

It really depends on what kind of music you're into, and how you categorize it. I'd define most of what I listen to as (hard) rock or metal, but some people might define it in other ways... But then again, I listen to lots of different kind of music user added image

Some bands I really like:
- Sevendust (Animosity album)
- Stone Sour (rather than Slipknot, more melodic imo)
- Tool (greatest band EVER! Quite complicated and time consuming though. Check 'em out)
- A Perfect Circle (Maynard's [Tool singer] other band)
- Ill Nino
- In Flames (Melodic death metal from Sweden, check out their Reroute to Remain album)
- Chevelle (a bit like Tool imo, but simpler)
- Coheed and Cambria (named the Rush and Led Zepplin of our generation by some)
- HIM (slightly out of category, but great)
- Deftones
- Machine Head
- Rammstein
- Muse

Also, I'd suggest everyone who likes rock to check out a british band called InMe, at least their first album, Overgrown Eden...

That's quite heavy music for working. It would drive me nuts.

Here a few, The La's, The Coral, Ocean Colour Scene, Bob Dylan, Beatles.

Yeah, but no but yeah but no....

Ya, see, I listen to Blink 182, New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Sum 41, Green Day, etc...

If you like metal though , I would suggest Slipknot or My Chemical Romance.

Well movie soundtracks do it for me: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings (rigs) Last Samurai, House of Flying Daggers to name a few or the Prodigy if I need to meet a deadline. But sometimes I have to listen to the 3d Buzz radio show thats available for download over there, its just damn funny, so it keeps the mood good and is 3d related (sometimes)

Ide go with everything Hybrid and blomkaal said. I also prefer to have some sublime, hot action cop, saliva, aerosmith is good for a few songs but you gotta mix it up. Make sure you get some older stuff like ACDC, metallica, Scorpions.. (goes to grab some music)
